Good Housekeeping published a gift guide featuring 16 advent calendars that can be mailed to college students, with options ranging from candy and toiletries to puzzles, crafts and collectibles. The guide presents them as festive alternatives to care packages during the final stretch of the semester; prices, stock and delivery dates may vary.
Good Housekeeping has published a guide to 16 advent calendars for college students, presenting them as a mail-friendly alternative to a traditional care package during finals and the run-up to winter break. The selections range from sweets and skincare to puzzles, desk toys and craft kits, giving families options that offer a small item or activity on multiple days.
The guide frames the calendars as gifts that can be sent to a student’s college address and opened after Thanksgiving break, when final classes and exams may overlap with the holiday countdown. Its four highlighted picks include a Sour Patch Kids calendar, Burt’s Bees’ 12-day lip balm set, The Body Shop’s 24-day bath-products calendar and a Candy of the World calendar.
Other entries extend beyond food and personal care. Good Housekeeping lists mini puzzles, chocolates, Marvel-themed builds, popcorn, hot sauces, jokes, Stitch figures, craft supplies, cookies, gemstones and charms. The formats differ: some provide 12 days of items, while others run for 24 days, and the contents range from consumables to keepsakes or short activities.
The descriptions and product details come from Good Housekeeping’s editorial guide, not from an independent comparison of every calendar’s current availability or value. The source includes some promotional price references, but does not give a complete, date-stamped price list for all 16 products.
A Daily Gift for Finals Season
The appeal is practical as well as festive: a calendar can divide a gift into small daily treats, rather than arriving as one package to be used all at once. The guide’s choices also let senders match a gift to a student’s interests, whether that means a quick snack, a desk activity during a study break, or toiletries for the semester’s final weeks.
That variety matters for families choosing something to send to a student away from home. A 24-day calendar may stretch across much of December, while a 12-day set can suit a shorter countdown. Still, the article’s descriptions of stress relief, study motivation or usefulness are editorial characterizations, not evidence that a particular product improves academic performance or well-being.

From Candy to Dorm Crafts
The source positions the calendars as an alternative to a finals-week care package, with products that may be mailed directly to campus. Its picks cover several familiar advent-calendar categories—food, beauty and collectibles—alongside options intended to be used or displayed in a dorm room.
Examples include a candy calendar with four pieces a day and a booklet about the sweets, a set of 24 trial-size bath products, and a calendar of 12 mini puzzles, each described as an 80-piece design. The guide also lists a Kendra Scott jewelry calendar described as a 12-day set and a Marvel calendar with six characters and 24 small builds. These details reflect the source’s product descriptions and should be checked against current listings before purchase.

Prices and Delivery Need Checking
The source material does not establish current prices, inventory or shipping deadlines for the 16 calendars. Some listings carry promotional notes, but discounts and availability can change, and delivery timing depends on the seller and the student’s campus address.
It is also unclear whether every product remains available in the same format or with the same contents described in the guide. Readers should check product listings, shipping estimates and any relevant dietary or ingredient information before ordering. The article is a shopping roundup, not a report on sales, student reactions or independently tested outcomes.
Check Listings Before Ordering
Families considering a calendar can compare its number of days, contents and price with the student’s preferences, then verify that the seller ships to the campus address in time. For food or skincare products, checking ingredients and the recipient’s allergies or sensitivities is also sensible.
Good Housekeeping’s guide may be updated as products and promotions change, but the supplied source does not specify a next update or report a follow-up. The immediate next step for shoppers is to confirm current product details and delivery dates directly with retailers.
