If you are searching for a Magic Mixies refill pack, the first decision is compatibility: Genie Lamp mist, Crystal Ball and Cauldron mist, and Cauldron spell ingredients are not interchangeable. I rank the Crystal Ball and Cauldron Mist Refill first for its broad compatibility and over 80 misting moments, while the Genie Lamp refill is the stronger match for Lamp owners who want the same high mist capacity. For Cauldron owners seeking more than mist, the Mist and Spells Refill adds ingredients for two spells, though it offers fewer reveals. A four-figure Minis set appears in the lineup as a play alternative, not a refill; I include it to make that distinction clear before you buy.

The tradeoff is straightforward: choose by the toy you already own, then decide whether you value more misting moments or extra spell play. These packs are designed for particular Magic Mixies playsets, and the compatible toy is sold separately. I would not pick on the word “refill” alone: the Minis set adds figures and accessories, but no mist or spell supplies.
Key Takeaways
- The Crystal Ball and Cauldron mist pack is the most flexible choice here, serving two compatible playsets and supplying over 80 misting moments.
- Genie Lamp owners should choose the Genie Lamp-specific refill; its two vials also support over 80 misting moments, but it is not listed for other toys.
- The Cauldron Mist and Spells pack trades high mist capacity for ingredients for a Wishing Spell and a Luck Spell, with 20 or more mist reveals.
- The MMX Minis Pack of 4 is not a refill pack: it contains mini figures, a kettle, and a collector’s manual rather than mist or spell ingredients.
- Check the exact playset name before ordering, since the mist packs have different compatibility and the main toy is sold separately.

Magic Mixies Magical Mist Refill Pack for Crystal Ball and Cauldron
This is my lead pick when a household has either the Magic Mixies Crystal Ball or the Magic Cauldron. Its clearest advantage over the Genie Lamp refill is two named compatible toys, rather than a single playset, while it matches that pack’s stated capacity of over 80 misting moments. Two vials make the refill format easy to identify and use as intended, and the instruction manual is listed among the contents.
That flexibility does not make it universal: the product is specified for the Crystal Ball and Cauldron, not the Genie Lamp. Buyers who own only the Lamp should choose the dedicated Lamp refill instead of guessing that the vials will fit. This pack is also mist-only, so it does not add the Wishing and Luck Spell ingredients found in the Cauldron Mist and Spells set. I would choose it for repeated reveal play across a compatible toy, not for a fresh activity or a broader assortment of components.
The Crystal Ball and Cauldron themselves are sold separately, so this is useful only if a compatible playset is already in the home. Compared with the spell refill, its stated reveal count is substantially higher; compared with the Genie Lamp version, its advantage is compatibility range rather than more mist. That makes it the most balanced refill for the two named systems, while still requiring a careful model check before purchase.
Pros:- Compatible with both the Magic Mixies Crystal Ball and Magic Cauldron
- Two mist vials are listed
- Provides over 80 misting moments
- Includes an instruction manual
Cons:- The compatible Crystal Ball and Cauldron are sold separately
- Does not include spell ingredients or additional figures
- Not listed as compatible with the Genie Lamp
Best for: Owners of the Magic Mixies Crystal Ball or Magic Cauldron who want a high-capacity mist refill usable with either listed playset.
Not ideal for: Genie Lamp owners, shoppers looking for spell ingredients, or anyone who does not already have a compatible Crystal Ball or Cauldron.
- Included components:2 mist refill vials, instruction manual, vegetable glycerin
- Compatible products:Magic Mixies Crystal Ball and Magic Cauldron
- Misting moments:Over 80
- Recommended age:5–15 years
- Number of packs:1
- Unit count:2
- Item dimensions:1.42 × 3.11 × 0.83 inches
- Item weight:0.02 kg
Our verdict“I rank this first for its combination of over 80 misting moments and compatibility with two named Magic Mixies playsets.”
Magic Mixies Magical Mist Refill Pack for Magic Genie Lamp
If the Magic Mixies Genie Lamp is the playset in your home, this is the most direct match. The pack contains two mist vials and claims enough mist for over 80 magical moments, putting its stated capacity on par with the Crystal Ball and Cauldron refill. The distinction is not the number of reveals; it is the toy it is designed to serve. I prefer this targeted fit over trying to adapt a refill listed for a different Magic Mixies set.
Compared with the Crystal Ball and Cauldron pack, this one is less flexible because it is specified for the Genie Lamp alone. That limitation is a benefit if you want a clear match for an existing Lamp, but a drawback for a household with several different playsets. It also does not bring in spells or extra play components, unlike the Cauldron Mist and Spells refill. Its value is repeat mist play, not variety.
The description identifies the product as safe to use with the Genie Lamp and says it is easy to use, but the Lamp itself is not included. Since the pack is for one toy system, I would skip it if the playset model is uncertain; the broader Crystal Ball and Cauldron option is a better fit for owners of either of those toys. For confirmed Genie Lamp households, though, the dedicated compatibility and high stated mist count make this the strongest direct refill choice.
Pros:- Designed for use with the Magic Mixies Genie Lamp
- Includes two vials
- Provides enough mist for over 80 magical moments
- A straightforward refill for repeated mist play
Cons:- Compatibility is limited to the Genie Lamp
- Does not add spells or other play components
- The Genie Lamp is not included
Best for: Magic Mixies Genie Lamp owners who want more mist reveals from that specific playset.
Not ideal for: Owners of only the Crystal Ball or Cauldron, shoppers wanting spell supplies, or anyone without a Genie Lamp.
- Contents:2 vials
- Compatibility:Magic Mixies Genie Lamp
- Use:Creates over 80 misting moments
- Pack format:Refill pack
- Refill type:Magical mist
- Playset included:No; Genie Lamp sold separately
Our verdict“I recommend this dedicated option over the broader refill only when the Genie Lamp is the toy that needs replenishing.”
Magic Mixies Magical Mist and Spells Refill Pack for Magic Cauldron
This Cauldron refill is the most activity-focused option in the lineup. It supplies ingredients for 20 or more mist reveals and two additional activities, a Wishing Spell and a Luck Spell. That is a different proposition from the two high-capacity mist packs: the Genie Lamp and Crystal Ball/Cauldron options are better when the aim is to repeat mist reveals, while this kit gives Cauldron owners more kinds of play to explore.
The supplied list is unusually varied for a refill, naming dissolvable papers, Unicorn Tears gel, foam powder, fizz pieces, popping crystals, soap paper, spell books, and vegetable glycerin alongside a bottle and instructions. Those components support the two spells rather than simply adding more vials. The tradeoff is a lower stated mist count than either pack claiming over 80 moments, and the contents are tied to the Magic Mixies Magic Cauldron. The Cauldron is sold separately, and this product is not listed for the Genie Lamp or Crystal Ball.
I would pick this over the Crystal Ball and Cauldron mist-only pack when spell variety matters more than maximizing mist reveals. If the child mainly wants the familiar mist effect again and again, the other Cauldron-compatible pack gives a much higher stated count. The listing also says no manufacturer warranty is provided, a practical drawback for buyers who prefer that support. Its appeal is the added spell play, not the strongest mist-per-pack claim.
Pros:- Includes ingredients for a Wishing Spell and a Luck Spell
- Provides enough mist for 20 or more reveals
- Lists a wide range of spell and play components
- Includes spell books and an instruction manual
Cons:- Requires the Magic Mixies Magic Cauldron, sold separately
- Has fewer stated mist moments than the packs claiming over 80
- Manufacturer warranty is not provided
Best for: Existing Magic Mixies Magic Cauldron owners who want two spells and assorted ingredients as well as additional mist reveals.
Not ideal for: Buyers seeking the highest stated mist count, owners of a Genie Lamp or Crystal Ball only, or shoppers without the Cauldron.
- Compatibility:Magic Mixies Magic Cauldron
- Mist reveals:20 or more
- Spells:Wishing Spell and Luck Spell
- Included components:Bottle, dissolvable papers, Unicorn Tears gel, foam powder, fizz pieces, popping crystals, soap paper, spell books, vegetable glycerin, and instructions
- Age range:5–15 years
- Number of players:1+
- Operation mode:Manual
- Manufacturer:Moose Toys
Our verdict“I would choose this Cauldron-only kit for spell variety, but not when maximizing mist reveals is the priority.”
Magic Mixies MMX Minis Pack of 4
This listing is the outlier: despite appearing in a search for Magic Mixies refills, the MMX Minis Pack of 4 contains four miniature figures, a kettle, and a collector’s manual, not mist, refill vials, or Cauldron spell ingredients. I include it so buyers can separate a figure set from a genuine playset refill. If the goal is to replenish a misting toy, this is not the product to choose.
Its role is different from every other option above. The mist packs extend a particular effect on a compatible toy, and the Cauldron kit supplies materials for extra spells; the Minis set instead adds small figures for imaginative play and collection. Its compact format may suit small hands or play on the go, but the supplied description notes limited detail and articulation. Compared with a refill, it offers a different kind of use rather than more uses of an existing Magic Mixies feature.
I would consider this only when the child wants figures or the set is being bought as a separate toy. It is less suited to older children looking for interactive effects, detailed features, or refill materials. Because no misting system or specific compatibility with the other playsets is listed, I would not assume the minis work as accessories for a Genie Lamp, Crystal Ball, or Cauldron. This is the clear last-place choice for the stated refill search, but a distinct option for collectors.
Pros:- Includes four mini Mixies figures
- Comes with a kettle and collector’s manual
- Compact size suits small hands and portable play
- Adds figure-based imaginative play rather than consumable mist
Cons:- Not a mist or spell refill pack
- No detailed features or articulation are specified
- May feel too basic for older children
Best for: Young Magic Mixies fans who want four compact collectible figures and simple imaginative play.
Not ideal for: Anyone seeking mist, spell ingredients, a refill for a Genie Lamp, Crystal Ball, or Cauldron, or detailed figures with articulation.
- Included components:4 mini Mixies, 1 kettle, 1 collector’s manual
- Toy figure type:Miniature figure
- Unit count:4 figures
- Set name:MMX Minis
- Model number:14980
- Item type:Dolls
- Number of packs:1
Our verdict“I would buy this for miniature figures, not as a refill for any Magic Mixies misting playset.”
How We Picked
I ranked these options by how well they answer a buyer’s actual refill need: compatibility comes first, then the amount and kind of play the pack adds. A refill that does not fit the toy on hand is the wrong choice, even if its listed contents sound appealing. I separated mist-only packs from the spell-focused Cauldron set so the difference between repeating a mist reveal and adding new spell activities is clear.
Among the mist options, I gave the lead to the Crystal Ball and Cauldron pack because it serves two named playsets while still promising over 80 misting moments. The Genie Lamp pack offers the same stated number of moments, so it ranks closely behind; its narrower compatibility makes it a better targeted purchase than an all-purpose pick. The Cauldron spell refill ranks for owners who want more varied activities rather than the largest reveal count. I placed the Minis set last because it does not refill any of the listed misting toys. Its inclusion makes the roundup more useful for shoppers comparing search results, but it is only relevant if figures—not refill supplies—are the goal.
I used the supplied product information, including listed contents, compatibility, and play claims. I do not assume that separate products fit together beyond their stated compatibility, and I do not treat the toys required to use these packs as included. Where a listing lacks a detail, I avoid filling the gap with a guess. My ranking reflects practical fit and play value, not a claim that every family needs the same kind of refill.

Factors to Consider When Choosing Magic Mixies Refill Pack
I would start by matching the refill to the exact Magic Mixies toy, then compare capacity and activity type. The product names matter here: these are not interchangeable general-purpose supplies.Match the refill to the playset you own
The Genie Lamp pack is listed for the Magic Mixies Genie Lamp. The two-vial Crystal Ball and Cauldron pack is listed for those two systems, while the Mist and Spells kit is for the Magic Cauldron. That overlap does not make the packs universal: the spell kit and the mist-only Cauldron-compatible pack serve different needs. If the toy’s exact name is unclear, check its packaging or instructions before choosing. I would not infer compatibility from a similar-looking accessory or from the Magic Mixies name alone.
Choose between more reveals and more kinds of play
Two packs state capacity for over 80 misting moments: the Genie Lamp refill and the Crystal Ball and Cauldron refill. The Cauldron Mist and Spells kit claims 20 or more reveals, but also provides ingredients for a Wishing Spell and a Luck Spell. I see these as different priorities rather than a simple quality ladder. A child who wants to repeat the mist effect may prefer one of the high-capacity packs; a Cauldron owner who likes following varied activities may get more from the spell set.
Check what is included—and what is sold separately
Each mist or spell pack listed here is a refill, not a complete playset. The Crystal Ball and Cauldron are sold separately for their compatible refill, and the Magic Cauldron is sold separately for the spell kit. The Genie Lamp refill likewise requires the Lamp. I recommend checking the contents before checkout: the Genie Lamp pack and Crystal Ball/Cauldron pack list two vials, while the spell pack lists ingredients and books rather than the same high-capacity vial format. The Minis set contains figures and a kettle, not refill supplies.
Treat the Minis pack as a separate toy purchase
The MMX Minis Pack of 4 can make sense for a child who wants small figures to collect or use in simple imaginative play. It cannot answer the core refill need described by the other three products: no misting moments, mist vials, or spell ingredients are listed. I would only keep it in consideration if the gift recipient wants figures rather than a way to continue an existing misting activity. That distinction prevents a disappointing purchase made because the set appeared beside actual refills in search results.
Set expectations about ongoing use
Mist and spell supplies are consumed during play, so a refill extends activities rather than replacing the toy or making supplies permanent. The high-capacity packs may support more repeated mist moments according to their listings, while the spell kit trades a lower reveal count for additional activities. How quickly a child uses a pack depends on play habits; I would avoid treating a stated count as a guarantee of a particular duration. Choose the contents that match the play pattern, and confirm toy compatibility before relying on any advertised capacity.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which Magic Mixies refill pack offers the most misting moments?
The Genie Lamp refill and the Crystal Ball and Cauldron refill each state that they provide over 80 misting moments. I would choose between them by compatibility rather than capacity: the first is for the Genie Lamp, while the second is listed for the Crystal Ball and Magic Cauldron. The Mist and Spells Cauldron pack states 20 or more reveals and adds ingredients for two spells.
Can I use the Crystal Ball and Cauldron refill with a Genie Lamp?
The supplied product details list that refill for the Magic Mixies Crystal Ball and Magic Cauldron, not the Genie Lamp. For a Genie Lamp, the dedicated Genie Lamp refill is the clearly specified match. I would not assume that a refill fits a different playset unless its packaging or instructions explicitly confirms compatibility.
Does the Magic Mixies Mist and Spells pack include a Cauldron?
No. The Mist and Spells pack is designed for the Magic Mixies Magic Cauldron, and the Cauldron is sold separately. The pack provides refill ingredients for mist reveals and the Wishing and Luck Spells. If the recipient does not already own the compatible Cauldron, this refill alone will not provide the complete play experience.
Is the MMX Minis Pack of 4 a Magic Mixies refill?
No. The MMX Minis set contains four miniature figures, a kettle, and a collector’s manual. It does not list mist vials, misting moments, or spell ingredients. I would choose it for collecting or small-scale imaginative play, not to replenish a Genie Lamp, Crystal Ball, or Cauldron.
How should I choose between a mist refill and the Cauldron spell refill?
Choose a mist-only pack if the main goal is to repeat mist reveals, and match it to the exact toy: Genie Lamp or Crystal Ball/Cauldron. Choose the Cauldron Mist and Spells pack if the child already has a Magic Cauldron and would enjoy a Wishing Spell and a Luck Spell as well as 20 or more mist reveals. Its added activities come with a lower stated mist count than the packs claiming over 80 moments.
Conclusion
My recommendation depends on the playset already in your home. For a Crystal Ball or Magic Cauldron owner who wants the broadest match and over 80 misting moments, I would choose the Crystal Ball and Cauldron refill. For a Genie Lamp owner, the dedicated two-vial Lamp refill is the clear fit, with the same stated high mist capacity. For a Cauldron owner seeking different activities, the Mist and Spells pack is the better choice if two spells matter more than maximizing reveal count. I would buy the MMX Minis only for a child who wants small figures; it is not a refill. Confirm the exact toy name and remember that the compatible playset is sold separately before ordering.
